Gemma Collins hits out at ‘bland’ Loose Women as she ‘absolutely’ rules out return

Reality legend Gemma Collins has slammed ITV programme Loose Women for being ‘bland’, saying that she’ll never go back on the daytime show.

While Gemma admits she loves the panellists on the hit lunchtime programme, the Essex diva has said she would “absolutely not” make a return.

In a new interview, Collins said, “I love the women, I love the Loose Women but I find that the show needs a good shakeup.”

The former car saleswoman went on to tell Central Recorder: “I think it is a bit bland but I love all of them individually but yeah it’s bland, it’s not for me, hun,”

The former TOWIE star first appeared on Loose Women in 2018, following the release of her book The GC: How to be a Diva.

In 2020, she will also appear on the show via Zoom. However, the interview was interrupted by persistent technical problems.

In an interview with The Mirror in 2018, Collins also slammed the show for being “boring”, saying “I am the GC, I find the show needs shaking up.

“The last time I was on the show, I was invited on and the women were quite rude to me, I was going through quite a difficult time.

“They invited me on the show and basically annihilated me. Not for me. I will never go on Loose Women ever again.”

However, Loose Women star Jane Moore defended the panel adding that she was somewhat taken aback by Gemma’s claims.

Journalist Jane said: “I’ve done Loose Women two or three times with Gemma Collins, I had no idea what she was talking about. Because one time she came, she brought her mum. We did a thing about her mum not being very well. We’ve always been lovely to her.”

In August, Gemma revealed to the Central Recorder that she thinks 2022 is the right time to start trying for a baby with boyfriend Rami Hawash, 46, after they rekindled their romance.

She said: “I’m ready for a baby, I am going to try next year. I’m really excited about it.”

Collins also shared that she fears she may struggle to conceive because she has polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition that makes it difficult for women to get pregnant.

Gemma is in talks to make a documentary about her battle, saying “That’ll be the next show I do, Gemma Collins: Making The Baby.

“It’s not so easy for me to get pregnant. But I am ready for it.”
