Gabrielle Union’s Original “Bring It On” Trailer Makes Her Fans Believe She Was More In It Than She Really Was (Video).

Gabrielle Union is still keeping some secrets. “Bring It On.”Saturday’s revelation by the actress was that Universal Pictures had intentionally tricked viewers into believing that she and her Black co-stars were telling bigger stories.

Union shared a TikTok video in which she spliced parts of the original trailer for her cheerleading film. This included scenes featuring her character Isis and the other East Compton Clovers. However, “Bring It On” fans will notice pretty quickly, those scenes aren’t actually from the movie. Union claims that this was intentional.

“Story time! So we shot these snippets that you see here after the movie wrapped,” Union revealed. “Because once test audiences saw the movie, they wanted more of the Clovers. So we shot these, only for the trailer, not for the movie, to make people think we were in the movie more than we were. The end.”

A rep from NBCUniversal didn’t immediately respond to ’s request for comment.

One Clover asks the question in one scene “Do you think a white girl came up with those moves?” A similar line was in the film, but said by Union’s character. This is what the actual line was. “I know you didn’t think a white girl made that s— up.”

Union admits in the past that the original “Bring It On”script was “cringey”Her character was also written “like a bad stereotype,”The actress has generally praised the film and said that she was able have a lot to change the original portrayal.
