How do I open Control Centre?

First of all, it’s important to understand how you get to your Control Centre.

The following are some of the available options.iPhonewith Face ID face-scanning, you do this by swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen.

Time-strapped

An iPhone comes with a countdown timer built in. It can be accessed through the default clock app, which is already installed on your iPhone.

It is super useful for your workouts and will remind you when to turn on the oven.

Users typically access the timer using an app that they open and navigate to the top of the screen.

To quickly set the timer, you can click on the clock icon located in the Control Centre.

To set the timer, hold down on the clock icon. Tap Start to activate it.

Torch light

The flashlight can be adjusted in brightness.

If you are really having trouble, it is possible to turn the brightness up.

If you only need dim light, you can lower it.

Tap and hold the torch icon for a few seconds until you see a slider.

The brightness can be adjusted by moving your finger.

Customise it!

Control Centre is capable of doing so much more if it’s customized in the correct way.

Go into Settings > Control Centre – it’s just below General.

There are many options to toggle between different features.

This is an example of how to access the iPhone’s Screen Recording function.

A Magnifier or quick access Music Recognition can be used.

To toggle on Low Power Mode, there’s a button.

You can also quickly activate Guided Access to show someone something without them having access to other content.

Voice Memos can be quickly made, the Stopwatch enabled, and Dark Mode turned on or off.

You must keep your keys locked

You can access the Control Centre from your Lock Screen. However, this is not always an ideal location.

It doesn’t reveal too much but does display things like the music you’re listening to – and any other options you may have added to it as well.

Not only that, it allows people to mess about, taking photos with your camera or switching things off like Bluetooth.

However, a simple switch allows for access to the control center even if it is locked.
