Flatbush Zombies’ Meechy Darko has teamed up with Freddie Gibbs and DJ/producer A-Trak for a new song, “On God,” off his upcoming solo debut, Gothic Luxury.
Jay Versace, Dot Da Genius produced the song. “On God” begins with a grandiose flourish but settles into a groove that’s still propulsive, but also subtle and unsettling in its own ways. The five-minute track features sprawling, heavy and brutally honest verses from Meechy Darko, Freddie Gibbs, and A-Trak at the end, where he shows off his trademark scratching skills.
Apart from dropping, “On God,”Meechy Darko shared the complete track list Gothic LuxuryLoma Vista Recordings will release the album on August 26th. The album includes previously unreleased songs “Get Lit or Die Tryin’” “Kill Us All (K.U.A.),”It will include contributions by Black Thought and Busta Rhymes as well as Kirk Knight and Vita. Dot Da Genius served as the album’s executive producer.
