Fake COVID-19 Testings Increase in Demand as At-Home Kits Spikes

Federal Trade Commission Alert issuedTuesday was used to warn the public about fake at-home COVID-19 kit sales.

Omicron is responsible for the majority of new coronavirus cases. This has led to an increase in retail kit prices and a number of store options being sold.

“…fake and unauthorized at-home testing kits are popping up online as opportunistic scammers take advantage of the spike in demand,”The alert was sent by the commission.
