FACEBOOK seems to be down, as thousands complain about a mysterious News Feed problem.
The mystery error appears to be affecting some Facebook fans in both the UK and US – flooding their feeds with posts sent to celebrities.

Down Detector is an online outage monitor that has logged thousands upon thousands of complaints around the globe.
The majority of reports indicate that both the sandbox and the water supply are in trouble. FacebookNews Feed and The App.
The huge increase in complaints began at 7am London time and 2am New York Time.
Some users are reporting strange posts appearing in their News Feeds, but Facebook has not publicly confirmed the issue.
Central RecorderI was able confirm that some users are seeing strange, unrelated posts coming from celebrity pages and accounts.
Matt Navarra is a social media analyst and industry guru. Tweet: “Facebook has been hit by a major spam attack.”
“Lots of Facebook Pages of celebrities have had spammy memes posted to them in the last 24 hours,”The consultant wrote.
Meta – which owns Facebook – isn’t reporting any issues on its main status page.
Users are taking to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
One wrote: “Is FB melting down for everyone tonight?”
Another thought: “Had to come to Twitter today cause Facebook down and I’m just seeing random posts.”
Another: “What’s happening with Facebook? The feed is hilarious? Did you see it?”
Celeb bedlam
Central Recorder has seen posts from celebrities on Facebook’s feed Kim KardashianEd Sheeran and Billie Eilish, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift were among those who appeared.
“I didn’t realise how many…weirdos there are who have nothing better to do that they have to surrender to posting random s*** to celeb pages on Facebook,”One user said so.
“This glitch is something else.”
Another user said, “Facebook has a major glitch…lots of celebrity posts!”!
“Messed up my timeline. What the hell is happening?”
Twitter users reported similar issues to many others.
Some Facebook users are fearing that the app – or their own accounts – are being hacked.
One user was concerned and asked: “Anybody else got a Facebook feed full of messages to celebs and bands or have I been hacked?”
Another thought: “Did Facebook just get hacked?”
