In Prime Video’s newest series, Paper Girls, music plays a key role as the story follows a group of girls from 1988 who go on a time-travelling adventure.

Based on the comic book franchise of the same name, the series tells the story of four 12-year-old paper girls – Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ – who, on their morning delivery route, are caught in the crossfire between groups of warring time-travellers.

The girls are transported from Halloween 1988 to the future, where they meet grown-up versions. They realize that their futures are not what they had imagined.

If they want to return home, they will have to overcome their differences and trust each other while being pursued by the Old Watch, a militant group of time-travellers.

Who was responsible for the score?

Paper Girls has a variety of licensed songs. Bobby Krlic composed the synth-heavy score.

British composer and musician. He has been scoring music since 2015 for TV and films. He has also released two full-length albums as The Haxan Cloak.

Bobby Krlic’s best-known works have featured in the likes of Triple 9, Seven Seconds, Shooter, The Enemy Within, The Alienist as well as the dystopian series SnowpiercerAnd the 2019 horror film Midsommar.

To coincide with the release of Paper Girls, Bobby Krlic’s score has been released on the likes of Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
