Emily Blunt will star opposite Ryan Gosling in “The Fall Guy” Film for Universal

Ryan Gosling will be starring opposite Emily Blunt in “The Fall Guy”Universal Film adaptation, according to someone who is familiar with the project.

“Hobbs & Shaw”Universal purchased the package as an auction package and attached David Leitch, a filmmaker, to direct the project. The feature film is inspired by the classic 1980s series of the same name.

The film’s production will begin in Australia this autumn, with a theatrical release date of Friday, March 1, 2024.

The “Fall Guy”Lee Majors starred as a stuntman, who was able to do bounty hunter work while also using his Hollywood skills. It aired on ABC from 1981 through 1986.

Drew Pearce, co-author “Hobbs & Shaw,”The screenplay will be written by me “The Fall Guy,”However, no additional plot details were available immediately.

Gosling and Leitch will also produce the untitled film. Guymon Casady, Entertainment 360, and Kelly McCormick are both producers at 87North. Geoff Shaevitz, Glen A. Larson, and the original series creator will also be executive producers. Universal’s Executive Vice President of Production Matt Reilly is responsible for overseeing the project.

Blunt is represented in The Artists Partnership in U.K. and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
