EastEnders spoilers : Major Walford storyline axed after soap legend’s passing; plus Corrie & Emmerdale News

EASTENDERS bosses have axed a planned storyline that would see the end of Dot Cotton’s bloodline in Walford, following June Brown’s tragic passing.

The choice to cut this storyline came after the Dot Cotton actress, June Brown, tragically passed away in April earlier this year.

The plot would see Dot’s granddaughter, Dotty, discover that she was never related to the Albert Square icon, therefore ending Dot’s lineage in the hit soap.

Milly Zero portrays Dotty. Dotty has been a fan favourite since joining the show in 2019.

Later this year, a special episode of the iconic soap is set to air, paying tribute to June Brown, who joined the show in 1985 before exiting in 2020.
