IPHONE users could be risking their battery life and overall performance by avoiding two key numbers. The numbers relate to the temperature you should be keeping your phone at.
If your iPhone gets too hot or too cold its performance can be heavily impacted. An iPhone battery that overheats can suffer permanent damage. The same goes for other devices not just iPhones or Androids. This is why it’s so important to keep electronics at a regular temperature.
Apple has some good advice for iPhone users on its website. “Use iOS and iPadOS devices where the ambient temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might cause your device to change its behavior to regulate its temperature,” Apple explains.
So if you’re about to be in conditions that are below 32º or above 95º Fahrenheit, you need to look after your phone accordingly. Keep your iPhone protected in a pocket if it’s cold or keep it out of direct sunlight if it’s hot. Apple also advises keeping your phone out of hot cars.
Apple devices like iPhones and iPads do have components that help to cool them down. This can also be while your battery drains quickly when it’s overheating. “iOS and iPadOS devices have built-in protections to prevent overheating. If the interior temperature of your device exceeds the normal operating range, your device will protect its internal components by attempting to regulate its temperature,” Apple said.
