Deborah James’s daughter is wearing a charity Christmas jumper. Family reveals that they believe it’s possible to keep ‘a little bit of Deb’s light’.

DAME Deborah James has sported a Christmas jumper for charity in honor of her mother.

The sweatshirt featured the words “Young Eloise” “Rebellious Hope” On the front as part of an annual fundraiser for the family during their first Christmas without their loved cancer fighter.

The Christmas jumper forms part of a clothing collection which raises money for charity that supports cancer research.

Deborah allegedly designed it before she tragically died from bowel cancer this June.

The Bowelbabe Fund raises money to Cancer Research UK in the memory of Dame Debs. They announced the limited edition Christmas line via Instagram.

The fund will receive all profits and be used to support the research effort in a cure for the disease.

The social media posts of the fund read: “We’re so happy to announce that In The Style has launched a very limited-edition Christmas jumper.”

They are so much fun and Debs would absolutely love them. It was Christmas magic that she enjoyed, including decorating her (too large!) tree. The Christmas magic was what she loved, decorating her (too high!) tree in sequin mini dresses and matching Christmas jumpers.

“We hope this jumper can carry on a bit of her light and magic. She will be so missed this year.”

The message was also added by them “Rebellious Hope” Call to “find light and positivity in moments of darkness, and to hold onto hope and nurture it when you find it”.

The present line features a special Christmas edition of In The Style, which is part of the fund’s affiliation.

Debs launched her own initial collection in May after telling Eloise that she was a’mini me’. “keep dancing to the moon and back” A poignant tribute

“The garments of that day were a great inspiration for a podcaster and fashion designer,” said the former podcaster. “Designed for my beautiful dancing, ballet loving mini me, my daughter Eloise, keep dancing to the moon and back.”

Deborah’s loving mother, Heather, shared her thoughts about the difficult Christmas without Heather.

She said, “Lots are just waiting to be caught unawares.”

“I was in the garden centre with Alistair the other day and spotted these Christmas baubles.

Deborah loved Christmas so much that she would buy the children Christmas decorations and decorate the tree with her own ornaments.

“Last year I can recall that we went to the same gardening centre, and Eloise found a shoe ornament for her daughter.

“She came home with some huge Nutcracker ornaments too. I know I am going to find it really hard to see those this year.”

Debs was just as close to her child, clearly.

She told Central Recorder, after a gorgeous white and pale rose was named for her, that Eloise would be able to have the same in her bouquet. It happened in May.

Heather, Debs and Eloise all wore pink PJs to the ‘one final girly sleepover’ in that month.

The 40-year-old captured the hearts of the nation in the weeks before she died of Stage 4 bowel cancer on June 28.

Thanks to her efforts in raising awareness, in the past year 2.8million people were tested for the disease, data published last month shows — up almost a fifth from 2.32million in 2018/19.

And figures from the NHS this month showed record numbers of cancer cases are being caught early, with 56.7% of cases — 100,461 out of 177,180 in a sample — found at stage one or two in 2021-22.

The Bowelbabefund also revealed that they have raised £1.68million through the sale of t-shirts and other clothing in the collection.

It was signed by the touching note: “Love, Deborah’s family x.”
