Cassie was subsequently revealed to be the Salem Stalker’s real identity. Cassie was found with multiple stab wounds in a Thanksgiving pinata. But Cassie’s death, like the rest of the victims of the Salem Stalker, was eventually revealed as a hoax devised by Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). Cassie was eventually found to be alive, and he returned briefly to Salem. Rex and Cassie both left Salem eventually. Rex returned to Salem several times over the years. Cassie, however, has not been seen again.
Cassie has never been to Salem, although Rex has made many trips back there over the years. Rex (George DelHoya) is working hard to heal Kate of the rare illness that Orpheus gave her. Perhaps it’s time for Cassie to return to support Rex and be there for their mother, who will most likely die if a cure can’t be found. Rex and Kate will both need the best support possible in the next weeks.
Rex has mentioned Cassie several times over the years. He’s mentioned that Cassie went through quite a bit and hasn’t been ready to return to Salem. Perhaps now, with Kate being so sick and Rex working on the cure, it’s time for Cassie to return. She might catch the attention ofEJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), and the two could haveIt’s a romance of whirlwind. Cassie is an open book. The young woman who once believed she was an alien is capable of doing anything!
