Strictly Come to Dancing judge Shirley Ballas, who is dating 49-year-old actor Danny Taylor, says she still feels sexy in her sixties and has a love life to match
Strictly Come to Dancing judge Shirley Ballas says she likes “sex and a Horlicks” before bed every night.
The 61-year old shared some of her sexy antics, including those with her younger boyfriend, actor Danny Taylor.
Asked if she preferred a hot drink or some nookie before bedtime, Shirley told The Sun: “I’d want Horlicks AND sex.
“Lots of Horlicks and sex – or a bit of Horlicks and a lot of sex.
“My Danny just left this morning and we had a marvelous weekend together. There were lots of Horlicks. It was beautiful.”
Shirley met Danny after going through two divorces and the pair went public with their romance in January 2019.
Speaking ahead of the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, which kicks off tonight, Shirley said it was still important for her to feel sexy in her sixties.
She said: “I think every woman wants to feel that way. Everyone wants to have that sensual appeal and I don’t think you ever really lose it.”
The dance star added her 84-year-old mother even got chatted up the other day while they were out and that she had proudly declared she’s “still got it”.
Saturday night sees Strictly return for its 19th series and head judge Shirley will take to the panel alongside regulars Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and new judge Anton Du Beke.
Celebrities competing for the Strictly glitterball this year are McFly’s Tom Fletcher, actor Greg Wise, comedian Robert Webb, Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty and ex-Coronation Street star, Katie McGlynn.
Actress Nadia Wadia, Loose Women’s Judi Love, Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies, Bake-off winner John Whaite, and EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis will also take part.
CBBC’s Rhys Stephenson, TV presenter AJ Odudu, BBC Breakfast’s Dan Walker, rugby star Ugo Monye and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly complete the line-up.
The first Strictly show will be a pre-record launch episode, during which celebrities will learn which professional dancers they are partnered with.
Stars will take to the dancefloor in one week’s time – with live episodes set to begin from Saturday, September 25.
One of the professional dancers was found to have tested positive for Covid days before the launch.
A BBC spokesperson told The Mirror: “A professional dancer has tested positive for COVID-19. However, this didn’t affect the recording of the launch show which airs this Saturday.
“We are following government guidelines to ensure the safety of all on the show.”
Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Friday, Strictly Come Dancing’s Motsi Mabuse said the show bosses were doing their “utmost to keep everybody safe.”
She said everyone on the show was being tested and trying to isolate as much as possible.
“But things can happen… everyone should be responsible and take care of themselves.
“We can’t plan these things so we just have to react, and hope that everybody stays healthy,” she added.
