Cool Details That You Missed in Season One

Walter did not give the correct address in his goodbye message. It isn’t where the White family home is actually located.

Walter (Bryan Cranston), thinks that he will be caught for the crime he committed in the pilot episode. He records a goodbye note for his family with Jesse (Aaron Paul’s) camcorder.

According to him, his address is 308 Negra Arroyo Lane Albuquerque New Mexico 87014.

While this corresponds with Walter’s home address as shown on the show, as you can see from his address on his house address, this isn’t the exact location of the house used to film.

Fans have found the property and even though the address was changed to protect the privacy of the real residents,

Two years later, Walter mentions his 50th birthday breakfast.

Skyler (Anna Gunn), makes Walter breakfast and shapes the bacon for him in the first episode.

Walter is enjoying real bacon in a diner while he runs from the law on his 52nd Birthday. This is quite a difference to the 50th birthday celebration when Walter ate vegetable-based bacon at home.

It is actually mentioned in the episode that Walter uses to kill Emilio with gas.

Walter rides along with Hank (Steven Michael Quezada), to see the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), bust a crystal-meth-cook during the pilot episode.

Hank explains to Walter, as the DEA agents get ready to enter the house, that they are wearing gas masks to protect themselves from inhaling chemicals to make crystal meth.

Walter corrects Walter and says it’s called Phosphine Gas.

Walter’s chemistry skills pay off at the end of the episode. To kill Emilio (John Koyama), he makes phosphine to kill Krazy-8 and Maximino Arciniega.

After the door has been shot on the pilot episode, the bullet holes are shown in the RV door.

Walter traps Krazy-8 & Emilio in an RV to suffocate the two of them with phosphine, and they fire the door at each other as they try to escape.

Badger (Matt Jones), who cooks in the RV’s kitchen, questions Jesse about the bullet holes. Jesse lies and tells Jesse that they’re for ventilation.

Bullet holes are visible on the doors of the RV. Hank mentions them again in a later season, when he tries to find the cause for the search.

Jesse uses the makeup of his aunt to cover his dark eyes.

Walter visits Jesse at his aunt’s home in the very first episode. Jesse corrects Walter and says it’s his now.

Jesse learns that Walter has cancer. It’s also revealed that Jesse had a aunt who died from cancer.

This is why Jesse chose to decorate the house with decorations that are not his style. For example, the floral curtains in Jesse’s living room.

Jesse applies makeup to his dark eye during the second episode. The rest of the series shows Jesse not wearing foundation, so it is likely that the makeup is not his.

His makeup is in an older package and likely belonged to his aunt before her death.

His page URL has been “cpn_cook”It refers to Captain Cook’s meth cooking nickname at show’s start, as well as the mention of a “Krystal Ship.”

Jesse’s blatant posts about using and making online meth explain why he brought his camcorder with him to the RV for cooking with Walt.

MyShout also states that Jesse has been in a band and attended university. His house has a drum set, so he may have musical talent.

In a conversation with his father, Jesse mentions looking for a data-entry job — which is apparently what he studied in university.

Walter may be smoking, which could lead to a continuity error.

Walter lit his joint with a lighter and the fire left by Jesse’s stove.

In the second episode, Walter smoked weed at Jesse’s home while he thought about Krazy-8.

Walter finally succeeds in rolling a joint and is able to light it on the stove.

Walter has a lighter for Jesse when he returns home.

He didn’t use any lighter to smoke the first joint. This could be an indication that he used a lighter before he started smoking the second one. Or it could simply be a continuity mistake.

Krazy-8 removing the crusts from his sandwich is an interesting parallel that was made a few seasons later.

In the third episode Krazy-8 attempts to attack Walter with a shard of the plate. Walter drops it.

Walter initially collapses holding the plate, and it shatters in front him.

When he wakes, he sees the same amount of plates in front of his eyes.

Krazy-8 may have taken a portion of the plate. The shard Krazy-8 grabbed might actually be closer to him, and was out of frame when other pieces were displayed.

Actually, Walter’s entire family commits an illegal act on season one.

Hank smokes illicit cigars, Marie Betsy Ann Brandt steals shoes and an tiara, Marie Betsy Ann Brandt tries to convince someone to buy him beer as he is underage, while Skyler has sex at a public location with Walter.

The White family is also known for its willingness to avoid being charged.

This interesting detail ties in nicely with the discussion Walter and Hank have on legality.
