BTS’ Jungkook has made history once more as the first Korean artist performing at the FIFA World Cup with his solo track, Dreamers.

Jungkook has released Dreamers, his long-awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 20,22 original soundtrack on Sunday (20 November 20). With energetic vocals and inspiring beats, the singer’s solo track won over BTS ARMY and football fans alike.

Jeon Jung-kook performed a stunning performance with Fahad Al Kubaisi, a Qatari singer, for the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony. The 25 year-old Korean singer became the first artist to perform at a FIFA event. He was also the first artist to record a solo track for FIFA World Cup since Ricky Martin’s 1998 France performance.

After his historical performance, Jungkook continued BTS’ tradition to go live and personally thanked fans for their continued support.

Jungkook stated: “Thank you for saying you’re proud of me.”

He also thanked his fellow BTS members and Euphoria singers for their support. They were all watching from home and shared snippets of JK’s performance on their Instagram stories.

BTS has been melting hearts for more than ten year with their brotherly love and support. Jungkook joined BTS as a teenager, at the age of 13. FIFA’s performance was a particularly emotional moment for the members and the ARMY alike as they’ve seen the My You star’s journey from trainee to global artist.

As a proud hyung (brother) Min Yoongi, aka Suga, also commented during JK’s live: “Jungkook is all grown up!”

One fan Gushed: “Just want to put it out that I’m insanely proud of Jungkook. He came so far. All his hard work paying off well in [the] way he deserves. I wish him nothing but all the best always.”
