Bryce Pinkham, Lizan Mitchell Join Broadway’s ‘Ohio State Murders’

Additional casting and the full creative team for the Broadway premiere of Adrienne Kennedy’s Ohio State MurdersToday’s announcements were made by Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder) and Lizan Mitchell (Cullud Wattah) joining previously announced star Audra McDonald.

Ohio State MurdersThis will be the first play to play at the newly-renamed James Earl Jones Theatre. Previews begin Friday, November 11, with an official opening on Thursday.

Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun, A Soldier’s Play) directs, and additional casting will be announced soon.

The creative team Ohio State Murders Includes set design by Beowulf Borritt, lighting design and costume design by Allen Lee Hughes, sound design by Justin Ellington, and projections design from Jeff Sugg.

The story is about the unravelling of an unsolved mystery. Suzanne Alexander (McDonald), writer, returns as a guest speaker to her alma mater and examines the violence in her writings. The work is described by “an intriguing and unusual suspense play, as well as a social pertinent look at the destructiveness of racism in our society.”
