Bonnie Mbuli Joins Giancarlo Esposito In AMC Series

EXCLUSIVE: Bonnie Mbuli (Invictus)He has been cast in a series regular role opposite Giancarlo Eposito and Paula Malcomson. The Driver, AMC’s remake of the British drama series that is set to launch next year on AMC and AMC+.

The U.S. series is from Danny Brocklehurst, Sunu Gonera, and Theo Travers. It stars Esposito in the role of Vince, a taxi driver whose world is turned upside-down when he accepts to drive the New Orleans-based Zimbabwean criminal gangster. ‘The Horse’A man who is well-known for exploiting illegal immigrants in U.S. Southern ports.

Mbuli will play Shamiso Tongai, the Horse’s (Zackary Momoh) smart older sister. She’s wary of strangers and protective of her family’s operation, which she’s intricately involved in with a voice that becomes more powerful as the story progresses.

Esposito, Gonera, Brocklehurst, David Morrissey and Travers will executive produce alongside Josh Kesselman and Danny Sherman from Thruline and A+E Studios’ Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson. AMC Studios is producing the series in six parts with A+E Studios and Thruline Entertainment.
