Blaze Sent Commuters fleeing Boston Train Fire – Loose Metal Hitting Electrified Rail

Officials said that a loose piece struck the electrified third rail and caused a rush-hour fire at a Boston commuter train. The Massachusetts governor called it an “incident”. “a colossal failure.”

After fire destroyed the lead train as it crossed the Mystic River, terrified commuters fled the subway train in Boston.

The Orange Line train heading towards Somerville was headed towards the Assembly station at 6:45 am when the inferno began, according to the transit authority in a statement. Around 200 commuters marched to the waiting shuttle buses.

“Obviously, today is just a colossal failure,”Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker stated this in a press conference held after the fire. “Today we all get an F. Let’s face it,”The governor stated.
