PARENTS are asking their kids to ‘fight’ in a new viral TikTok trend – and viewers’ reactions are dividing the internet.

The trend, which utilizes the hashtag #fightprank, has garnered more than 70.7 million views on TikTok.

Most often, the parent explains that they are about to fight another parent, who will also bring their own child to fight.

While some kids kids put their shoes on and get ready to fight, others hestitate or cry out of confusion.

What is the fight prank trend on TikTok?

In one video, TikTok user @Lashawnda tasks her daughter with putting her shoes on and then joining her to fight.

“I’m finna go beat up this girl and if her daughter jumps in, I need you to handle her daughter,” she said jokingly.

The daughter is then seen eagerly jumping up and putting her hair in a ponytail to defend her mom.

Since going live, the video has raked in more than 100,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

And that’s just one of the dozens of similar videos that have gathered hundreds of thousands – and even millions – of views.

Mixed reviews

Many of the viewers find the videos to be comical and praised the content.

“This #fightprank should not be this funny to me!!,” one user said, adding several laughing face emojis.

However, many others believe that the bizarre trend will promote violent behavior.

One user simply called the whole trend “unfortunate.”
