Aston Villa fans hilariously mock Cristiano Ronaldo’s Siu celebration after Man Utd win

Aston Villa supporters hilariously mocked Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark ‘Siu’ celebration outside Old Trafford following their side’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday.

Central defender Kortney Hause gave the visitors the lead in the 88th minute before Bruno Fernandes blazed a stoppage time penalty over the crossbar.

The result was United’s first league defeat of the season and leaves them fourth after six matches, with Villa now in eighth on 10 points from the same number of games.

Villa fans were in celebratory mood outside Old Trafford after the match as they remained at the stadium and mimicked Ronaldo’s famous celebration.

Fans were seen taking it in turns to run up and do the celebration, which consists of jumping in the air and spinning before throwing arms to your side as you land and shouting “Siu”.

Ronaldo has popularised the celebration in recent years after starting to do it every time he scores.

The Villa fans that had crowded outside the stadium after the match cheered and applauded as they took it in turns to mock the Portuguese striker.

Saturday’s match was the first he had played since returning to United in which he had failed to score, after his compatriot Fernandes took the late penalty instead.

The defeat was also United’s third in their last four matches following a Champions League defeat to Young Boys and their loss to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

United fans were also trolled by Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez inside the stadium after the Argentinian turned to the Stretford End and danced following Fernandes’ penalty miss.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will hope to quickly put their back-to-back losses behind them when they host Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

A win will be crucial following their opening defeat in a group that also contains Italian side Atalanta, before they play Everton at home in the league next Saturday.

As for Villa, they go in search of a third straight league win when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
