Pups and their owners have taken to the sea in the UK’s annual Dog Surfing Championships.
Some competitors dressed up as familiar faces like Scooby Doo or the Queen to make a splash at the Dog Masters 2022 event.
As they competed for the winning spot at Branksome Dene Chine beach, Poole in Dorset, dogs were seen helping their owners paddleboards.

Elizabeth Wilkinson was one of her competitors. She dressed in the same attire as her nameake and headed for the waves wearing a white dress, grey wig, and crown.
Ms Wilkinson and her dog Diogie were pictured together racing down the beach towards the finish.

Another person could be seen paddling with a Scooby Doo Onesie.
One dog even had a shark fin attached to his life jacket.

As the race was taking place, many people snapped photos.

The contest, now in its fourth year of existence, is an all-day event that features live music and delicious food.
