The following is an excerpt from a conversation with Gabrielle about her background and goals. It was edited for space and clarity.

Q: How did you get started in parenting/lifestyle influencing?

A: I found myself feeling quite alone and was seeking a community so I took my account off of private. I decided that if I feel this, I know there are other people that feel like this as well. I decided to be vulnerable and share the truth about my life.

Q: What is the most common misconception that people have about working as an influencer?

A: That it’s easy and that it’s not real work. There is so much more to it, I pour my heart into my instagram and my captions and I just want to have a purpose on my platform.

Q: What is the best part about being an influencer?

A: Hands down the messages I get…. I have parents that message me and say I think my daughter or son might be gay or non-binary. It tugs on my heart strings because I wish that when I was a kid that I had someone asking those questions for me. It makes me so happy to have parents come to me and ask how to support their kid.

Q: With the industry being so big, how do you remain true to yourself and unique?

A: I remain true to why I started. This is what’s important and this is what needs to be out there. I want to be there for the next generation.

Q: If you were not a parenting/lifestyle influencer, what would you be doing?

A:Staying at home with my kids. No job amounts to being a mom and pouring into them with my 3 year old and 7 month old. They are everything to me.

Q: Where can viewers catch what is next for you?

A: We have some exciting projects, I am working full time for only human and also in our personal lives I have started a pre-school co-op with some of my friends in the neighborhood.
