Christopher Walken is the most well-known actor of his generation. Many people can recognize his voice in the crowd. He is an Academy Award winner and has performed in almost every genre of film, making him one of the greatest actors.

Georgianne, his wife for over 50 years is less well-known. Here’s everything we know about Georgianne Walken’s life, family, and career.

Georgianne Leigh Corzen was born February 8, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. To match the maternal aunt Irene Thon who raised her, her surname was changed from Leigh to Thon at age eight. Sheila Jaffe, her casting partner, founded the casting agency Walken/Jaffe.

Georgianne says the two were inseparable. “When you met him, you knew he had this future,” Sie said. “He was good and was going to be better … I had never met anybody like that in my life.”

Georgianne was so passionate about Christopher that she supported them both in their early years. While Christopher was pursuing his stardom, Georgianne gave up her acting dreams to make ends meet by selling cosmetics.

Georgianne launched her own casting agency that was a success, giving them both the financial stability and flexibility they required.

“My wife takes care of everything for me,” Walken once said. “She takes care of the bills, the money. I don’t have any part in it. Everybody has to do something. I do movies, and she takes care of me.”

They were married in January 1969

Christopher and Georgianne got married only five years after their first meeting. They share a home in rural Connecticut, and they don’t have any children of their own. However, Christopher has insisted that he doesn’t have any regrets in that department.

“I do like to work as much as I can because I don’t have children, I don’t have hobbies, I don’t do anything else. And I’m glad that I don’t have children. I have two brothers and they have plenty of children, they come to my house and I am always very glad when they leave,” Christopher admitted once. The Golden Globe Awards.

Their Marriage Survived The Controversy Surrounding Natalie Wood’s Death

One of the biggest marks on Christopher Walken’s legacy is the 1981 death of Hollywood legend Natalie Wood. Wood’s mysterious drowning has been the object of fascination for plenty of Hollywood historians. Many theories exist about the boat trip Wood took to Catalina Island.

Christopher had starred in the film with Wood. Brainstorm This mystery, which occurred just before her death in 2013, will remain with us forever. Wood mysteriously drowned while he was aboard the boat with him. Many have questioned why Georgianne wasn’t with him on the boat when it happened, implying that Christopher was being unfaithful.

However, Christopher Wood and Wood have never shared any evidence of a crime or anything else. Wood had never learned to swim, and it’s understood that she fell overboard in what must have been a tragic accident.

Christopher has stayed tight-lipped about the incident, insisting he doesn’t know what happened. “She slipped and fell in the water. I was in bed then. It was a terrible thing,” He told the story People In 1986.
