Interview with The Hollywood ReporterAldis Hodge stated that fighting was his primary goal. Dwayne JohnsonHe was there to ensure he didn’t miss the “Black Adam”Hawkman’s mace was used to star, which was a feat that was harder than it appeared.

Hodge pointed out that real fighting is different from stunt fighting. Stunt fighting requires you to make sure that you do not hit your opponent. Both require you to gauge your distance from your opponent.

Hodge noted that Hawkman required him to perform the same calculations. But Hawkman’s arm was longer than his arm, which he also had account for. Hodge also had to straighten his arm when swinging the machete. Hodge was more likely to hit Johnson than he was stunt fighting, so Hodge concentrated on making sure that he didn’t hit Johnson’s face.

“Because if I scratched his face and we had to shut it down because of me? Yeah, that’s no bueno,”Hodge ended.
