After six weeks Liz Truss resigns as Prime Minister of United Kingdom

After six weeks of service, Liz Truss was elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Following the resignation of Boris Johnson, Truss was made Prime Minister. Her brief tenure was marred by controversy over tax cuts, financial turmoil, and the British Pound’s lowest value against the U.S. Dollar for almost 40 years. Truss suggests that a leadership race should take place before the end of this week.
