After a traffic accident, a body of a young woman was found in solitary man’s car

A woman’s body was found inside a North Carolina man’s car during the investigation of a traffic accident, according to reports.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, the body was discovered after Zakreigh Baker (27), rear-ended another vehicle parked at a red light. According to WWAY News, a local outlet.

Authorities identified the deceased as Mallorie Kate McCollum, 23, who was reportedly Baker’s girlfriend, according to the outlet.

According to WWAY News, Baker told police that he was driving McCollum to the hospital at the time of the accident.

According to the outlet: New Hanover County Sheriffs are investigating her death while Wilmington Police Department investigates the traffic accident.

According to arrest records, Baker is currently charged with driving while impaired, conceal/failure to report a death, driving with a revoked license and habitual impaired driving.

According to records, he has been given a court date for October 17th and is currently being held on a $50,000 bail.
