A TRAVELLER caused outrage when she caught herself sneaking an animal on a flight.
Jayden Parham of Tiktoker bought a turtle during their Florida trip, even though they live in another state.
So she had to take Swim Shady, the aquatic creature she named, on a plane trip.
She said, “I bought the baby turtle in Florida but now I live in Kentucky.”
“I had to bring him home on the plane.”
JaydenShe places the turtle in her bag, and she is seen passing through security.
She then flies home and sits on the aircraft with Swim Shady, who is in his box.
Jayden confirms then: “We made it home safely”.
American Transport Security Administration (TSA), which shared the footage via Instagram, confirmed that turtles were allowed to board US-bound flights.
They also explained how passengers should take them with them, should they be required to transport them.
They said: “Don’t be shell-shocked by this information.
“Your pet turtle and their half shells are fine by us, just be sure they’re in a clear, transparent container.
“However, don’t get yourself in a hare-y situation, be sure to ask your airline for their rules.
“You’ll find slow and steady always wins the race, so give yourself plenty of time to get through security.”
But not everyone was as thrilled to see the animal aboard the plane.
One user wrote: “Take this down. This is unfair for the animal.”
Another one agreed, saying: “Poor guy probably just wants to be in nature.”
An additional third: “That poor creature has been robbed of a natural life. Shame.”
This year, travelers were warned to ensure they don’t bring exotic animals home in their luggage after returning from tropical destinations.
These are the rules to take your pet on holiday.
