Police on Wednesday discovered a wrecked black 2013 Toyota Corolla registered to Brown in Warren County, Georgia.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the identity and gender of the female body inside the vehicle.

Officials confirmed that the victim was wearing scrubs similar to those Brown would wear for work.

Police had previously tweeted: “Shauna Brown was last seen wearing royal blue nursing ‘scrubs’ & was driving a black 2013 Toyota Corolla.”

Police said that the fatality was the result of one vehicle collision. This is a heartbreaking update.

Brown, an ICU nursing nurse at Prisma Healthcare Baptist Hospital, was headed to Alabama when she failed her first attempt.

Columbia Police Deputy Chief Melron Kennedy stated: “While we are unable to positively identify the person inside, we believe that it is Ms. Shaua’s body.”

“We are working with her family to positively identify her.

“We suspect that something caused her vehicle off the roadway and to descend the embankment.

“It could not be seen from the roadway. Right now there is no evidence of any foul play.”

Deputy Chief Kelly added: “It’s not the outcome we wanted, but we’re working with the family very closely to bring them some closure.

“It’s a very hard situation.”
