The October 2025 release date for the first of the three new Avatar animated movies, The Last Airbender has been confirmed.

However, the extension of the franchise has always come with a heavy pinch of skepticism following the abysmal live-action movie from 2010 – the less said about that film, the better.
The good news is that three new animated movies are currently in production, with recent confirmation that the first Avatar: The Last Airbender film will release in October 2025 – here’s everything that we know so far.
Avatar: Movie release confirmation for The Last Airbender

Three animated Avatar: The Last Airbender films are currently in production, as previously mentioned. There is also an effort to revive the original TV series as well as The Legend of Korra, the popular spin-off.
It was announced in February 2021 that a new division would be created to create original animated series including Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Korra IPs.
