Variety's Awards Circuit houses the official predictions of the upcoming Oscars EmmysClayton Davis, film awards editor. The Emmy and Oscar predictions are updated every year with current year's contenders in each category. This is done by following history, buzz, news and reviews. Variety's Awards Circuit Prediction schedule has four phases. They run all year: Draft (Pre-Season), Regular Season (Regular Season) and Post Season. The award dates and eligibility calendar will determine the length of each phase. They are subject to change.

About Academy Awards (Oscars).

TheAcademy Awards, better known as the Oscars, is Hollywood’s most prestigious artistic award in the film industry. Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have selected nominees and winners since 1927. Nearly 10,000 people are members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). There are 17 branches. The branches are actors, associates, casting directors, cinematographers, costume designers, directors, documentary, executives, film editors, makeup and hairstylists, marketing and public relations, members-at-large, members-at-large (artists’ representatives), music, producers, production design, short films and feature animation, sound, visual effects and writers.

About the SAG Awards

TheScreen Actors Guild AwardsSAG-AFTRA hosts the annual award show, which has grown to be one of the most important indicators for the Oscars. Four films have won the most SAG awards with three: 1999’s “American Beauty,” 2002’s “Chicago,” 2011’s “The Help” and 2017’s “Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri.” Three movies have been nominated for the most SAG awards with five: 1998’s “Shakespeare in Love,” “Chicago” and 2008’s “Doubt.”

  • 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards will be televised live by TNT and TBS at 5 pst / 8.
