As a current student of Central Connecticut State University I am enraged at the increase in the tuition for this year to come. I don’t hear any talk about anything extra that we will be recieving for the extra 500$ we will be spending not to mention the ridiculously overpriced books we are required to buy. Then the teachers require a newer edition each year that isn’t even really different so we are not able to return books that we spent over 100$ for at the end of the semester for anything. This school just keeps demanding and eating up more money of the students and not giving anything additional back. I also feel that it is ridiculous that an issue like this was delt with in a manner that students wouldn’t be involved or informed of it unitl it was final. Something so relavant to the student body should have been brought to our attention in advance instead of being discussed while we were all distracted by finals and the preparation for them something the school was fully aware of. The CCSU chancellor who was paid more to stay should do something good for the school and use some of his raise to cut down the constantly increasing expenses of his students.
